Sicap vendor-independent Over-the-Air platform (OTA) provisioning provides your customers with fast, easy access to profitable third-party content or support and gives them the ability to configure personal settings on their SIM.
Sicap has opened up the once humble SIM card to third party service applets, unleashing valuable marketing potential. The Sicap SIM over-the-air platform (SIM OTA) provides the ability to add or remove applets for applications requiring the high level of security inherent to the SIM card. Remote management of the latest SIM cards is proving to be highly valuable for operators. These Super-SIMs can host applications in a business-friendly manner and deliver encrypted files, making SIM-based information very secure. Mobile banking or mobile payment means using NFC technology are typical examples.
Operators can also control roaming network attachments dynamically, by dedicating a SIM applet to updating the PLMN favourite network list over the air. As roaming agreements are a sensitive and potentially costly form of revenue leakage for any operator, the benefits of OTA SIM management in handling network connections are undeniable.
It enables operators to modifiy and download all USIM files and applications accessible Over-The-Air (e.g. Java applications) via a user-friendly Web interface. .
Customer SIM status is managed by server-side database for security and customer service. When a user changes the SIM card or if a phone is lost or stolen, the data can be simply downloaded to the new SIM
