Sicap, the undisputed leader in device management, today announced that Syriatel is set to introduce Automatic Device Detection (ADD) in order to help customers use their mobile to its full potential.
Sicap ADD is an advanced feature of its comprehensive Device Management Center, which will enable Syriatel to generate a real-time data picture of the handsets connecting to their network. The retrieved data is fed into the Sicap DMC to trigger live updates such as service settings for MMS, GPRS or the recently launched 3G services. In addition to reducing the time spent on customer care configuration queries, Syriatel will be able to increase customer satisfaction, encourage usage of services and reduce churn. By making life easy for its customers, Syriatel will gain both in brand image and in a reduction of customer care queries to its two call centres in Damascus and Aleppo.
Customer care is an important differentiator in the rapidly growing Syrian market, where the mobile penetration rate stands at a modest 30%. Syriatel has the scope to rapidly increase the number of subscribers on its network and to build on its status as the leading network operator with a fifty five percent market share.
