Sicap and paybox Team Up to Deliver Industry-leading Mobile Commerce Solutions

Sicap, a leading provider of mobile software solutions, and paybox, the trendsetting company for mobile payment enterprise solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to develop and market innovative mobile commerce technology that mobile network operators can use to deliver simple-to-use and cost-effective solutions for their customers. The synergy of their complementary product offering will attract new customers in established and emerging markets, and will help strengthen the market position of both companies worldwide.

The partnership will focus around combining complementary technologies from both companies, which will include:

• Sicap's Reload Server (SRS) which converges all reload channels into a single server, with the paybox TopUp Mobiliser, which allows vendors to sell airtime directly from their cell-phones to consumers' cell-phones in fixed and variable top-up denominations, and allows merchants to sell airtime value directly from cash registers, point-of-sale (POS) terminals or internet PCs. The airtime can be either directly credited on the customers mobile or the voucher code can be printed onto payment slips from POS terminals or on printouts of a PC as receipts. Combining the functionality of the two products will provide additional top-up options for prepaid customers, which will result in generating higher revenues for operators.
• Further to this, operators can offer business customers the capability to make secure cross-border money transfers by integrating paybox's Money Mobiliser solution with Sicap's Device Management and Over-The-Air SIM card Management solutions. With that combination, companies will get a portfolio of banking solutions using an integrated prepaid card platform offering reach and scale by delivering a banking product to every mobile subscriber.
• With the complementation of Sicap's Loyalty Management solution with paybox's Mobile Service Delivery Platform "Mobile Wizard", operators will be offered a trendsetting portfolio of best practice customer management solutions that will help them to gain and to retain customers.
