Solution Architect
Your job
- Solution architecture: Develop customer-specific solutions, both new ones and extensions of existing ones, and document them in customer solution descriptions (CSD) and present them to the customers
- Requirements engineering: Work directly, actively and pro-actively with customers and document their business needs and gather and evaluate their requirements
- Development process: Act as a principle liaison to Developers, Integration & Deployment Engineers (IDE) and Product Management and ensure that solutions are realized according to the customer’s expectations
- Solution Delivery: Support the project managers in fulfilling the contractual obligations with the customers, in particular identify and clarify change requests to a defined project scope
- Support: Occasionally assist 1st and 2nd level support in locating and resolving complex issues
- Sales support: Interact closely with the assigned Key Account Manager (KAM) and Key Account Team, provide technical leadership and consult in business matters
- Based in Berne or Lucerne
Your profile
- Academic degree (Bachelor or Master) with very good grades or equivalent professional experience, preferably in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science
- Some years of professional experience in software development: C or Java, Oracle database, Unix server, ideally in a telecoms environment
- Solid practical experience in application and solution design and systems integration
- Knowledge of prepaid billing, real-time charging, IN/CAMEL/Diameter would be an asset
- Having worked in or for Swisscom as well as experience in an international SME-company would be an advantage
- Good interpersonal, customer facing communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work systematically and be an effective team player
- Fluent in (Swiss) German and English (verbal and written); any additional language is an advantage
